Human Resources Assistant (Full-Time Permanent)

(Salary Range $55,080 - $63,240 per year)

 

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will provide confidential administrative support to the HR team in areas such as recruiting, labour relations, and training and development.  The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities from answering public inquiries and performing basic accounting functions to complex reporting, research and special projects.

 

Ideally, you hold a one-year college certificate in Business Administration or a related discipline along with at least five years of progressive administrative experience, preferably gained in a human resources environment. Previous experience working in a unionized organization is an asset. The incumbent must be able to exercise considerable discretion, be self-motivated with a high degree of independent initiative, be highly organized and able to meet multiple deadlines.

 

This is a full-time permanent position with annual salary range of $55,080 - $63,240.  We offer a competitive benefit package that is wholly paid for by the employer and a superior pension plan.  Employees have access to the Recreation Complex gym/swim/skate facilities during public hours, as well as unlimited drop-in fitness classes.  Financial support for relocation is available.
